It's been 7 months since I met my parents last time. My father often in abroad due to his business so there were some time when I was being away from him for a long time. But once myself is out from Japan and being separated from parents, I really miss them more than ever.
My father took day off while we are visiting so we decided to go down town San Francisco together. My husband drove his car and my parents seated backseat. As a child, me and my brother always sitting backseat of the car which my father drives. It was first time that I seated front and they seated back. It was strange feeling.
And also funny that my husband being told to do this and this. My husband always ask me the way to go which I have no idea but this time, he was being told in every minutes even without asking. My father even wanted to chose the lane to drive:)
First we arrived "Seal Rock Cliff". My father proudly explained to us that this is a minor place for tourist but still absolutely worth to visit.
It was a bathing place in old days.
By seeing this huge Pacific Ocean, I really felt that I'm back in California!
While we are strolling down the beach, my father was already drinking beer and enjoying oysters even before lunch:) Oh, I have to say, the most important thing in our family is "good food".
This day my father was obviously enjoying that he is not driving and can drink whenever he wants!
We continued to the famous Dim Sum restaurant which I recommended.
Dim Sum lunch with my parents.. This reminds me of my childhood when we were living in San Francisco. My father always Dim Sum to take. His taste is forwarded to me as well, now I also chose exactly same things which he takes.
After the lunch, we proceed to another minor tourist point, "Fort Point". From here, you could enjoy the view of Golden Gate Bridge in unique angle.
The sky was perfectly blue.
I crossed the bridge 5 years ago but I've never know there's such a unknown view point of the bridge.
same time, you could also learn a little bit of history relating to civil war.
Another unique view point of Golden Gate Bridge. My husband absolutely wanted to see an entire view of the city from the top of the hill and he explored the point which even my parents never been!
It's a great picture of the bridge having downtown as it's back ground.
In between, we checked Sausalito and Fisherman's wharf.
My husband drove down the world famous winding road... and this street straight lead you to the best observatory, Coit Tower.
My father has done full program on this day and showed us as much as he can. I really felt that he is doing his best and treating us as real guests.
Talking about our family character, although we have international background, our family are typical Japanese. My father take always all decision and rest are just follow what he has decided. I've never even thought of standing against to him and it is also comfortable for me let him decide. But my husband is different. He always has his opinion and he often just do what he wants no matter what. So this day, I was uncomfortable and anxious to see my husband having his own way and my father is adjusting to his style. I was worried that my father might come to me later saying how dare I can let my husband acting selfish.
But he didn't. He told me that it is fun to hang out with us. I was really surprised and really touched. He can actually considering how my husband can enjoy his stay more than I do.
Without having such a generous parents, I think my marriage was not succesful.
Also funny thing is that, with my husband some miracle happens.
We happened to encounter a wild fox on the way back from the hill.
The fox was totally cool and looking into camera... Unbelievable.
We lived in San Francisco 5 years, my father even more but we all never met wild fox before.
If my husband didn't insist going to the top of the hill, our family never see awesome view and wild fox!
and I have to respect my husband who can spend full time with Japanese family even having a language barrier.
Sunset in down town..
